One of those days
I bet we all have em, the days where nothing seems to happen, be it in your brains or the surroudings.. I've been starring into my screen most of the day trying to find something to write about or even do - And so, i come to the last resort of writing a blogpost about how eventless this day has been. Only interesting thing to report, was this interesting report: http://gatesofvienna.blogspot.com/2007/03/is-european-civil-war-inevitable-by.html - Which i believe hold a pretty plausible point, which i am very interested in discussing with all those interested in the same :)

Unfortunately I think the basic view on the role of government in society has gotten so far separated between the left and the right that I don't know if there is anyway to bring us back closer together without either armed conflict to settle the issues, or some economic upheaval to unite us. Neither option is desired frankly, but it sure seems like one or both will come to pass.
SvarSletI think too many people give the government too much power. It has become the norm for many that government can handle their money better then they can.
SvarSletPeople definitely expect the government to take care of them. It would be funny to see a modern city dropped back into the 1800s for a week. That would be a cool reality show.

SvarSletEven though i am not a Xenophobe i find those number to be alarming, with all the potential terrorism apart the the world is already over-populated as is so if there aren't any laws to regulate child birth in some countries we will have some serious problems in the long run.
